George T. Morgan designed the Morgan Dollar, which was minted from 1878 to 1904 and then again in 1921. This example was struck in 1881 at the San Francisco Mint and is in Mint State 64 condition. The stunning toning on this 1881-S Morgan Dollar makes it truly one-of-a-kind. The reverse features gradient toning of perfect sunset hues ranging from vibrant orange to deep purple and blue, while the obverse is bright white.
