For the first time in the country’s history, the West Point Mint inscribed its “W” mintmark on Lincoln Cents in 2019. To commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Lincoln Cent design by Victor David Brenner, this historic event took place. This 2019-W Reverse Proof Lincoln Cent is designated as Red and graded as Proof 69 Ultra Cameo. Although the first Reverse Proof Lincoln Cent was only made available in 2018, there aren’t many samples even in this condition. Only 1,500 of the 2019-W Reverse Proofs with Lyndall Bass’s signature have been made, and they are graded PF69 RD UCAM in his honor as the reverse designer of the Lincoln Shield Cent. This magnificent coin is one of the extremely few 2019-W Reverse Proof Lincoln Cents verified with this pedigree.
