As the Buffalo Nickel’s final year of production, copies of the 1938-D Buffalo Nickel are highly prized by numismatists all around the country. Much fewer than 1% of all 1938-D Buffalo Nickels produced have been certified as Mint State 64 coins. This 1938-D Buffalo Nickel is considered a Condition Rare because there are so few examples graded in MS64 condition.
