Adolph A. Weinman created the Mercury Dime, which was produced from 1916 to 1945. One of the finest known examples of the 1938 Philadelphia Mint Mercury Dime series, graded in Mint State 67 condition with Complete Bands, is this beautiful coin. A Mercury Dime with a Full Bands, or FB, certification has the highest caliber design components and a nearly faultless strike. Just 293 of the 1938-P Mercury Dime’s struck have been graded in MS67FB condition, and only 26 have been graded higher. This coin is not only a Condition Rare but also one of the finest known due to the extremely low population of MS67FB and the small number of coins graded higher.
